Pricing and What to Expect

Initial Evaluation

The initial evaluation is the most crucial part of the treatment sessions. This is when the therapist can discuss about what is meaningful and purposeful for the client and create goals with the patient to be able to focus the future treatment sessions. The therapist will begin with asking several questions regarding the injury, symptoms and daily activities that may be impacted. Following the discussion, the therapist will take measurements of the affected area to determine what areas to focus on. Subsequently, treatment may begin immediately, which includes preparing a home exercise program to be able to follow through with various exercises between therapy sessions. Initial Evaluations are typically around 1 hour long.

Treatment

An initial evaluation must be performed prior to follow up treatment sessions. A treatment may vary depending on the severity of symptoms and goals of the patient. A standard treatment session would include utilization of heat as a preparatory method during initial review and discussion with the therapist. The therapist may perform any combination of manual therapy, modalities (Ultrasound or electrical stimulation), or therapeutic exercises or activities to promote increased function and decrease symptoms. Treatments are typically around 45 minutes long.

Splints

If a doctor or your therapist feel that a splint is necessary, then the therapist may be able to custom fabricate a splint for the elbow, wrist, hand or finger. If the service is performed in the home, the client must be able to provide a small flat surface and 2 electrical outlets to be able to utilize the tools to fabricate a splint from thermoplastic material.
